Poignard

This object comes from Burial 1060 at Jablines, discovered during excavations conducted prior to the construction of a TGV line interconnection. The Pressignian flint dagger was fashioned from a blade whose upper surface had previously been extensively polished. Short, direct retouches, made along its entire perimeter, resulted in the removal of the proximal and distal ends of the blade, including its heel. A marked narrowing in the middle of the piece defines a slightly pronounced tang.
